Luminary Launches, Unveils Roadmap, and Delivers First Hotfix
Source: Steam Community
Luminary has officially entered Early Access, and the development team has already released a hotfix build to address community feedback and technical issues. The game, a co-op open-world ARPG, has seen a wave of player support since its debut, and the developers are committed to steadily improving the experience.
Early Access has been a necessary step for the team, who have been working on Luminary full-time without external funding. While they acknowledge the game is still in its foundation phase, they have assured players that they are dedicated to seeing the project through, with a clear roadmap and plans to iterate based on player input.
Hotfix 0.11.02.0036
The first hotfix since launch addresses several bugs, quality-of-life requests, and additions:
- Added stat progression for Sword, Shield, and Bow levels, plus Crit Rate for Swords.
- NPC cardboard cutouts in town shops as placeholder fun.
- Map now shows attuned trees and their links to Towers.
- Increased arrow and health potion drops in co-op; reduced vendor potion cost.
- Notifications for Fast Travel unlocks, and a new "drop" option for items.
- Improved rock collisions on cliffs and menu scaling for 16:10 displays.
- Fixed a memory leak affecting long-session performance.
- Resolved co-op health potion duplication bugs and visual stat errors.
- Fixed a crash when loading old demo saves.
Looking ahead, the next update will focus on giving each town vendor a unique quest and a leveling system. Players can donate resources to level vendors, unlocking new items at level 2. This update is expected in a few weeks. For a full version history, see the patch notes.
